I can not read another blog from another self proclaimed trading or investment wizard who writes, what can only be described as never ending reams of utter garbage.
I recently read a number of posts on one such person’s website that had me in stitches. The articles were so far off the mark, it was obvious that the author had no idea how to actually make money in the stock market.
The most concerning comment the so called ‘expert’ made was “Making money in stocks is easy”. It is exactly this type of garbage that compelled me to start up www.stock-market-prowess.com
Buying and selling stocks may be easy. All you need is a computer, internet connection and a discount broker account to get started. But to actually make money from the stock market is far from easy. It takes years of hard work, dedication, persistence and a never ending willingness to learn.

1. You need to have a clear understanding of yourself. You need to clearly define your financial goals, your risk profile, develop a sound understanding of your mental make-up (psychology) and specific strengths and weakness.
2. You must develop a solid foundation of knowledge about the economy, stock market and stocks in general.
3. You need to work on a trading or investment strategy that suits YOU. The stock strategy must take into consideration all the elements you identified about yourself in step one. The key to long term success is to find a stock strategy that suits your personality and too stick with it.
4. And finally, you need to gain a level of market experience. Unfortunately there is no short cut to this, it just comes with time. However, finding the right mentor can certainly fast track this process.
These are the four keys to long term wealth. Don’t be fooled by glossy advertisements talking about the latest, greatest stock trading system that will make you tens of thousands of dollars.
There is no such thing as a quick way to get rich in the stock market. There is no ‘holy grail’. Investing can be a thoroughly rewarding experience from a number of perspectives, but it does take time.
All you need is a passion to learn the things you really need to know (not some quick fix trading methodology) and a lot of persistence.
